Below is the text of an email that was sent out to all on Ms West's mailing lists earlier this year.  It is typical of the letters that were mailed out when I was involved with her back in the first six months of 2002.  Couched in compassionate terms aimed to loosen the purse strings of all who receive it.

I remember at one fundraising occassion, held during a large gathering of students, aproximately $86,000 was pledged.  Later that day Cheryl O'Brien, the then book keeper for Ms West, asked how much she should send to the monateries in Nepal and Ms West answered $200.00! 

The rest went into keeping Ms West in the 'fashion she had become accustomed to!'  After all there were not even any accounts done then and the finances of the charity and Ms West's finances were one!

Read the email below and then consider these points.

1.  Ms West asks for all donations to be made out to the 'Devra Patton West Foundation.'  Is this the same foundation / trust fund that hundreds of thousands of dollars donated to the 'Circle of Divine Unity' charity dissappeared into?  The charity's property worth $1.7 million was allegedly transferred into Ms West's personal trust fund!

2.  Ms West says that although Nepal is going back to the 12th century and that the phones and internet will soon be down we can trust her to 'wire' the money to an individual inside Nepal?

3.  I do not know what 'well' Ms West has drunk from but it is certainly not that of the White Brotherhood.  They do not employ subterfuge, they do not lie, they do not bear false witness nor would they associate themselves with anyone who does.

4.  Go to the Surya Ma Downloads pages on this site.  Check out some of the comments from house keepers, personal secretaries, students and employees.  Having reviewed the information ask yourself where you think any donations will go - to the monks or to Ms West?

5.  Check out one of the recent pages entitled "Lies, Perjury Etc" and read about how Ms West, or Surya Ma if you want to use her latest stage name, forces employees on threat of being fired to give false statements on her behalf so she can defend herself against the many victims she has wronged.  Victims like Dr Patricia.  Ms West allegedly held a gun against the doctors head while telling her she had the 'spiritual' authority to decided whether she lived or died!

6.  Read these two newspaper articles recently published in the Whitefish Pilot and the Bigfork Eagle.  Would you trust this fake guru with $5.00 let alone thousands?

7.  Read the testimony from an ex board member of the charity that the Montana state government closed down.  In this testimony A J White alleges that Ms West, she had another alias then Devra Ji, diverted $80,000 away from the charity to pay for her son's legal fees!  Click to read statement.

8.  Given Ms West's long term interest and support for the monks in Nepal and given all the corporations she is setting up for herself, according to a recent newspaper article there are currently six created but only one is in good standing, you would think Ms West would have found time to set up a proper trust fund or charity for the monks.  After all the Chinese have been there for 40+ years! No No No!  As in my time back in 2002 Ms West insists that all the checks and wires are made out to herself!

9.  Ms West was recently allegedly evicted from a property.  She has also allegedly extorted money from students (click this link to hear from one who alleges he lost $30,000).  In addition Ms West is currently allegedly borrowing money from and existing employee (click this link to read email from recently departed office manager who alleges Ms West has borrowed $300,000 from an existing employee).  Can you trust someone whose finances are allegedly in such a mess to pass incoming cash onto the monks?

10.  As you will see if you have read the news articles in item 6 there are currently three lawsuits out against Ms West.  While the first to go before judge and jury in November also has the added interest of alleged assault against a local female doctor ALL lawsuits are brought by plaintiffs who allege fraud, breach of contract etc. involving large sums of money.

11.  There is an ongoing IRS investigation into Ms West's financial affairs.

Still not convinced?  Click on this link and go to item number 7 and above where you will hear Ms West in her own voice candidly telling us all what she thinks of us.  How she disposes of people like Kleenex, how if anyone gets in her way she'll get so f**king down and dirty etc.  Listen to Ms West as her true self and then decided for yourself whether this grifter gives a damn about the monks in Nepal and whether you can trust her with a single cent from your hard earned cash.

Please Help!

Dearest Friends and World Servers,

Nameste and all blessings for your happiness and prosperity.  I am writing to you today, that you might be alerted to the beautiful guardian souls of the high Himalayas who desperately need our help. In recent years, political influences from Chinese Maoist rebels have steadily disrupted the ancient Buddhist traditions right to exist throughout Nepal, where many monasteries had sought refuge post the Chinese invasion of Tibet. In the past year, this oppression has intensified forcing many monasteries to disband and flee to other countries.

Now in Katmandu, Nepal, a state of emergency has been declared yet again, and I have received urgent messages calling for help from the aged Rinpoche Tengboche who has been my dear friend and mentor for many years. Our dear friend Krishna Lohani tells us that telephone and cell phone service has
been cut off and there is fear that the Internet will soon be down as well.  The situation has been described as the 20th century being reverted to the 12th century, with many of the Monasteries in a dire state of emergency.

Although as a master teacher, my path has always embraced the Universal Teachings of the Brotherhood of Light, I have drunk deeply from the Buddhist tradition having studied with Rinpoches and Llamas throughout Tibet and Nepal for many years. My journey ledme to the roots of the Ningmapa  Lineage in the Mt. Everest basin, where the Rinpoche Tengboche presides over an isolated monastery that sits just beneath the massive spires of Mt. Everest.

Over the years, I have been a patron of this lineage, sending funds to help preserve these ancient traditions, so that their mantle of wisdom can been passed on to future generations of seekers and bodhisattvas here in the West.

The Rinpoche¹s line of elders are the teachers of the Dali Llama, and I have had the privilege of sitting with these elders at the Tengboche Monastery, therefore I ask that you sense the significance of joining me to answer this call for help.   Join me also in the unshakable knowledge that it is our turn as world servers to assume the tradition of global guardianship. The nations of the world have failed to step in and protect the Tibetan peoples from Chinese political aggression. This travesty has not gone away, even though the Buddhist tradition itself has endured with the greatest of nobility as mantle bearers for world peace. We all owe a great deal to the ancient traditions that have sustained our planet.

Please join me by answering this call with a resounding acknowledgement.  My gratitude is given in great humility to each of you who open your hearts to this urgent demand for response and you can rest assured that every penny that you contribute will go directly to the Rinpoche¹s aid and that of the orphans that our dear friend and trekking guideKrishna is helping the Rinpoche to feed, protect and care for.

Please offer all that you can, whether great or small, as this group of monks does not have a wide 
audience of appeal as in the case with other recent global disruptions.  I have made the commitment to personally match all sums that are contributed. I call you to challenge my pledge by creating a tipping 
point of generosity that serves to further ignite a new era of global guardianship. May the power of love guide your choice to help the tradition that holds compassion as its resounding universal principle.
