Yesterday on the 25 September 2007 Warren Jeffs, leader of a 10,000 strong cult was convicted of being an accomplice to rape for using his religious authority to push a 14-year-old girl into a marriage she did not want. 

The victim was 14 years old at the time the crime took place but yesterday, now aged 21, she gave a statement that according to CNN included these words. 

"When I was young my mother taught me that evil flourishes when good men do nothing," said Elissa Wall, the prosecution's star witness, who was "placed" by Jeffs in an arranged marriage at 14.

She told reporters that the trial "was not about religion or a vendetta, it was simply about child abuse and preventing further abuse."

"The easy thing would have been to do nothing, but I followed my heart," she said, urging other girls and young women who feel trapped by polygamy to come forward.

Now by some curious coincidence Mr Jeffs sentencing was set for November 20th which, if rumours are correct, is when another self appointed prophet Ms Deborah West AKA Surya Ma is going to court in Montana to face assault charges against a local doctor. 

Like Mr Jeffs Ms West runs a cult, like Mr Jeffs who allegedly has his 'minders' Ms West has her own.  Like all cults once you are on the outside you are shunned and no contact is allowed with former friends.  Like with all other cults the remaining members line up, out of fear, to give 'evidence' against victims who try to get justice.

Ms West has also has trained hard in Shamanism to learn ways to 'remotely' punish those who stand against her.  This dubious skill is also used to keep her victims, often drawn from her cult, in line as she allegedly milks them for the finances she needs to keep herself in the fashion she has become accustmed to.

In the next article appearing in the Bigfork Eagle on the same subject (click on this link to read the article) West's financial advisor, Geoff reynolds allegedly said this to the paper,

"Reynolds claims Cole owes West $753,484 and that colors Cole's allegations. Cole's bills for 2004-2006 totaled $1.3 million, including $250,000 for an "internship" under West and $213,750 in "therapy fees" for eleven months last year." 

Cole managed to pay West $621,484, but it didn't come easy. At one point, Cole cashed out her IRA and paid West $293,843.

I know West I worked for her in 2002 for six months as her 'financial' advisor and the idea that a well educated doctor would be 'willing' to pay a million plus and cash out their IRA to someone who allegedly left high school before graduating is proposterous!

Furthermore as far as my lawyer and I could make out Ms West has received no formal education after high school.  When questioned, as part of the discovery process in my court case, West said all her certificates were lost in a flood in Arizona!  Of course the PhD and the D.D. she awarded herself don'y count do they?  So the 'tuition' is worthless other it's only value is to West who can justify the 'transfer' of wealth from Dr Patricia to herself!

These alleged transgressions are just a few in a long line of alleged transgressions (many listed on this site) from another egomaniac running a cult who thinks they are above the law and who regards the members of their cult as sheep to be 'culled and dined on' at their pleasure.

To paraphrase Elissa Wall,

"Let us hope that the good men (and women) around Surya Ma who have been turning a blind eye suddenly stop sitting on their hands and decide to help Dr Patricia MD and the many other victims get justice!"
